This is a great view down Main Street in Richmond. There's hardly a parking spot in sight! A Pure Gas truck is down the way on the left.
Of the signs visible there are 4 neon signs up close and several others at the end of the block. Shown are the following: The State movie theatre marque; Western Auto; Ideal Cafe; Billiards; Glyndon Hotel; Glyndon Pharmacy and J.C. Penney. A couple of Coca - Cola signs can be spotted if you have a sharp eye. The block of buildings on the right survives today while four of the buildings on the left side of the street, at the end of the block, are holding on.
This street is a portion of U.S. 25, the Dixie Highway and also U.S. 421, the Michigan Road. blueathena7 on Flickr: Posted a Photo

I read about Confucius today, so he's been on my mind.
Tomorrow, I'll be reading about the history of consumerism - wonder what type of shot that will inspire? valariewithana on Flickr: Posted a Photo

In 5th grade, I really had no idea what a playboy bunny was. But Mom & Dad indulged my naive idea for a costume anyway. Grandma even made me bunny ears and a tail. Kelly's costume was much simpler. Snarling Badger on Flickr: Posted a Photo

That blazer ended up being worn in a school play by a salesman or other sleazy-type character. I don't think I wore it again after that, despite the fact that my Mom thought it was so cute. Snarling Badger on Flickr: Posted a Photo
